(February
21, 2012) Night two of the 'UNOH DIRTcar Nationals'
took place tonight at VSP and another $7,000 top prize was
on the line. Don O'Neal, aboard the Moring Motorsports #1
entry, laid down the fastest lap in his group during UMP
qualifying and later finished third in his loaded heat race.
After rolling off from the outside of the seventh row in
the 30-lap feature event, Don was unfortunately caught up
in an early wreck and retired in the twenty-fourth position.
(February 20, 2012) Following
a day off on Sunday, Don O'Neal hooked up with the Moring
Motorsports #1 team at the Volusia Speedway Park in Barberville,
Florida tonight for round one of the 'UNOH DIRTcar Nationals.'
Don qualified second fastest in his group during UMP DIRTcar
qualifying and later grabbed the third and final transfer
spot through his heat race. The Martinsville, Indiana ace
then started the $7,000 to win A-Main from the seventeenth
position, but suffered problems during the 30-lapper, which
dropped him to a twenty-first place outing.
(February
18, 2012) The annual 'Winternationals' wrapped
up tonight at the East Bay Raceway Park in Gibsonton, Florida
with another $10,000 to win Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series
program. Don O'Neal timed in fifth fastest in his group
during qualifying and later finished third in his stacked
heat race. After rolling off from the inside of the fifth
row and later pitting for new rubber, Don stormed through
the talented field to record a strong third place performance.
He crossed underneath the checkers in the 60-lap finale
behind only winner Steve Francis and runner-up Jimmy Owens.
(February 17, 2012) The first
points night for the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series took
place tonight at East Bay and Don O'Neal had his sights
set on the $10,000 top prize. Don laid down the second quickest
lap in his group during LOLMDS qualifying and later won
his heat race. The Martinsville, Indiana native then started
third on the grid in the 50-lap main event and was racing
Jonathan Davenport for the lead on lap 31 when he suffered
mechanical problems. Don was forced to retire from the race
and was credited with a disappointing twenty-first place
finish.
(February 16, 2012) Round
four of the 'Winternationals' took place tonight at the
East Bay Raceway Park in Gibsonton, Florida and another
$7,000 winner's check was on the line. Don O'Neal timed
in fourth fastest in his group during Lucas Oil Late Model
Dirt Series qualifying and later grabbed the second transfer
spot in his loaded heat race. The driver known as the "Real
Deal" started the 35-lapper from the inside of the
fourth row and moved past three competitors en route to
a solid fourth place performance behind only winner Steve
Francis, Austin Hubbard, and Dennis Erb, Jr.
(February 15, 2012) Team
71 Racing entered tonight's third round of the 'Winternationals'
at East Bay looking for their third straight Lucas Oil Late
Model Dirt Series triumph. Don O'Neal paced the 46 car field
during the qualifying session to earn Fast Time honors and
later won his heat race for the third straight night. After
rolling off from the outside of the front row in the $7,000
to win main event, Don jumped the cushion early in the 35-lapper
to drop a few spots and later suffered a flat tire late
in the race that relegated him to a disappointing nineteenth
place finish.

14, 2012) The "Real Deal" Don O'Neal
made it two-for-two tonight at East Bay by winning the second
round of the annual 'Winternationals.' Don swept the action
at the Tampa area venue, as he set fast time in qualifying,
won his heat race, and later led all 25 laps in the main
event. The Martinsville, Indiana ace picked up the $5,000
top prize by beating John Blankenship, Austin Hubbard, Scott
Bloomquist, and Steve Francis to the checkers! (Rick

(February 13, 2012) Don O'Neal, of Martinsville,
Indiana, captured the win in night one of the annual 'Winternationals'
tonight at the East Bay Raceway Park in Gibsonton, Florida!
Don laid down the second fastest lap in his group during
Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series qualifying and later won
his stacked heat race. After starting third on the grid
in the 25-lap feature event, Don grabbed the top spot from
Mike Marlar on lap nine and led the remainder of the distance
to pick up the $5,000 payday over Shannon Babb, Marlar,

(February 9, 2012) Martinsville,
Indiana ace Don O'Neal and the #71 team rolled into the
Screven Motor Speedway in Sylvania, Georgia tonight for
an open practice session prior to this weekend's $20,000
to win 'Winter Freeze.' Unfortunately, Don hurt a motor
during one of his hot lap sessions and the team opted to
load up and head to Jay Dickens Racing Engines to make repairs.
They will work some long hours to get everything ready to
return south to compete in the 'Winternationals' at the
East Bay Raceway Park in Gibsonton, Florida from February
13-18.

WEST SHOOTOUT RESULTS FROM USA RACEWAY
(January
22, 2012) Don O'Neal wrapped up the 2012 'Wild
West Shootout' today with the $10,000 to win 'Bill Cheesbourg
Memorial' at the USA Raceway in Tucson, Arizona. Don ran
third in both his heat race and his B-Main, which locked
him into the nineteenth starting spot for the 40-lap feature
event. Despite the predominantly one-groove track, Don was
still able to move past nine competitors en route to a tenth
place effort in the 'Wild West Shootout' finale. (RaceImages.net

(January 21, 2012) Race five
of the annual 'Wild West Shootout' took place earlier today
at the USA (AZ) Raceway and another $3,000 payday was up
for grabs. Don O'Neal did not have luck on his side today,
as he was unable to transfer into the 30-lap A-Main. He
finished fourth in his heat race, but later suffered problems
in his consolation race that dropped him to a fourteenth
place finish. The MasterSbilt House Car team will look for
better luck tomorrow in the $10,000 to win 'Wild West Shootout'
finale.
(January 20, 2012) Don O'Neal
and the #71 team were looking for their second straight
win tonight in round four of the 'Wild West Shootout' miniseries.
Don won his heat race in exciting fashion, but did not go
to the scales following the prelim. Unfortunately, he was
disqualified from his heat race and did not return to the
track for his B-Main. Don instead was forced to watch the
$3,000 to win main event from the grandstands.
(January 18, 2012) The "Real
Deal" Don O'Neal picked up his first victory of the
young 2012 racing season tonight in round three of the 'Wild
West Shootout' at the USA Raceway in Tucson, Arizona! Don
charged past five competitors in his heat race to finish
third and later rolled off from the pole position in the
30-lap feature event. The Martinsville, Indiana ace grabbed
the point on lap 13 when leader Shane Clanton hit the wall
and led the rest of the way to garner the $3,000 paycheck.
Don beat Billy Moyer, Ronny Lee Hollingsworth, Clay Daly,
and Terry Phillips to the checkers!
(January 15, 2012) Race two
of the 'Wild West Shootout' miniseries took place today
at the USA Raceway and a $5,000 top prize was on the line.
Don O'Neal passed five competitors in heat race action to
finish a solid runner-up behind only Shane Clanton. When
the 30-lap feature started, Don rolled off from the inside
of the fourth row. The popular driver known as the "Real
Deal" worked his way up a couple of spots to finish
in the fifth position behind only winner Tim McCreadie,
John Anderson, Billy Moyer, Jr., and Jimmy Mars.
(January 14, 2012) Don O'Neal
and the MasterSbilt House Car team made the long journey
to the USA Raceway in Tucson, Arizona for tonight's season
opening event. The annual 'Wild West Shootout' kicked off
with a $3,000 to win showdown tonight. Don drew the fifth
starting spot for his heat race and advanced up to second
behind only prelim winner Jimmy Mars. Even with the solid
finish, Don did not earn enough passing points to transfer
directly into the feature, but he later won his B-Main to
earn a spot in the 30-lapper. The Martinsville, Indiana
native started fourteenth in his season opener and worked
past eight competitors to finish a strong sixth behind only
winner Billy Moyer, Will Vaught, Shannon Babb, Jimmy Mars,
and Tim McCreadie.

SET TO KICK OFF 2012 SEASON IN ARIZONA!
(December
14, 2011) Team 71 Racing and driver Don O'Neal,
following their spectacular 2011 racing season, have released
their plans for the upcoming 2012 campaign. Don and the
#71 team will start their season from January 14-22 in the
six-race 'Wild West Shootout' at the USA Raceway in Tucson,
Arizona. From there, Don will head to the East Bay Raceway
Park in Gibsonton, Florida to begin his assault on the Lucas
Oil Late Model Series National Championship. You can view
